Glossary/Plant3D
Asset class
The Plant3D category an asset belongs to — e.g. A_BallValve, A_Pipe — comparable to a block definition for ordinary blocks.
An asset class (like A_BallValve or A_ReducingElbow) groups every asset of that type across a project, the way a block definition groups every reference to it. Each class defines which properties, including which UDA fields, its members can carry.
Batch tools built for Plant3D typically let you scan a drawing set, see every class present with how many instances and files reference it, and choose which classes to include in an export — rather than working asset-by-asset.
