DWG to PDF converter

Convert DWG drawings to PDF right in your browser: free, no sign-up, no AutoCAD. Put many drawings and layouts into one PDF with bookmarks. Nothing is uploaded.

What it does

  • Many drawings at once, with every layout listed and previewed so you tick the ones you want
  • One PDF for everything in the order you set, with a bookmark per sheet, or one PDF per drawing or per layout
  • Paper size and plot area recognised from the layout and title block, or pick your own sheet size
  • Black and white (the default), color or grayscale, and plot line weights when you want them
  • PDF names built from the file name, the layout or the drawing properties
  • Add the original fonts for exact lettering; Japanese, Chinese and Korean text included
  • No upload: your drawings are converted on your own computer

How to convert a DWG to PDF

  1. Drop one or more DWG files on the page, or use Add Files or Add Folder.
  2. Tick the layouts to convert and drag them into the order you want. Choose paper, color, and one PDF or several.
  3. Press Convert to PDF.
  4. Preview the result in a new tab and download it: one PDF, or several together as a ZIP.

Questions

Is my drawing uploaded to a server?
No. The conversion runs in your browser, on your own computer. The drawing never leaves it.
Is it really free? Is there a limit?
It is free, needs no sign-up and has no limit on the number of files. A very large drawing depends on the memory of your device.
Do I need AutoCAD to convert DWG to PDF?
No. The converter reads DWG files by itself, on any computer with a current browser. AutoCAD or another CAD program is not needed.
Why does the lettering look different from AutoCAD?
Drawings often use fonts that come with AutoCAD. When a font is missing here, a similar one is used and the page tells you which. Add the original font files (SHX or TrueType) and the lettering matches. They stay in your browser.
Which DWG versions can it convert?
Current DWG files and many older versions. If a file does not convert, send it to us from the support page and we will look at it.
Can I merge many drawings into one PDF, with bookmarks?
Yes. Add the drawings, tick the layouts, drag them into the order you want and choose one PDF for all files. Each sheet gets a bookmark you can rename. You can also get one PDF per drawing or per layout.
Why are the lines in my PDF so thick or so thin?
Plot line weights are off by default, because line weights stored in a drawing can make a PDF look heavy. Switch them on to get the weights the drawing was set up with, and use black and white for a classic print look.
Which part of the drawing becomes the PDF?
Each layout (sheet) is plotted at its paper size, with the plot area taken from the title block or the layout. Model space is left out unless you tick it, and a drawing that has only model space is plotted from it.

Dwg2Pdf for Windows goes further: whole folders straight from disk, with no browser memory limit, plot style files (CTB) per drawing or range, highlighting or hiding of layers and blocks, and block attributes as PDF annotations. It needs no AutoCAD either.
