Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what data CADXChange collects through the CADXChange website (the "Site") and the CADXChange desktop applications — BlockSync, BlockCopy, BlockCompare, TextSync, TextCompare, Dwg2Pdf and DwgSearch (each a "Tool") — and how it's used. CADXChange is operated by an independent software developer based in Japan.

Every Tool processes DWG files locally through AutoCAD's own engine (accoreconsole.exe) running on your computer. No drawing content, filename, file path, or extracted data (block attributes, text, layers, geometry) is ever uploaded to CADXChange, Stripe, or any other party. Excel exports, backups, and reports a Tool produces are written only to folders on your own machine that you chose.

Each Tool contacts a license-verification service at startup and periodically while running. That check transmits only: the license key (Pro tier only), the Tool name and version, the AutoCAD version in use, and your IP address (used solely to detect abuse of a license, such as sharing one key across far more machines than its terms allow — not to identify you personally). No drawing content or file metadata is included in this check.

If you email us for support, we receive whatever you send us (your email address and message content) and use it only to respond to your request. If you subscribe to release notifications on the Site, we store the email address you provide for that sole purpose and it is never sold or shared for marketing by third parties.

CADXChange is the seller of record for Pro license purchases; Stripe, our payment processor, collects your billing details (name, email, payment method, billing address) directly on our behalf, to process payment and prevent fraud. CADXChange receives from Stripe the information needed to sell and support your license — your email address, the product purchased, billing address (for tax purposes), and the order/license identifiers — but never your full card number. Stripe's handling of your payment data is governed by Stripe's own Privacy Policy (https://stripe.com/privacy), in addition to this policy governing CADXChange's own handling of your data.

The Site does not currently use tracking cookies, third-party analytics, or advertising scripts. If that changes, this policy will be updated first and this section will describe exactly what's added and why.

License and support records are kept for as long as needed to provide the license and related support, and as required for tax and accounting purposes. You can ask us to delete personal data we hold about you (see "Your Rights" below); this doesn't affect billing/transaction records CADXChange and Stripe are legally required to retain for tax and accounting purposes.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights over data CADXChange holds directly, email us at the address below. For data held by Stripe as our payment processor (full payment method details), contact Stripe directly, or reach us and we'll relay the request.

CADXChange is operated from Japan, and Stripe operates globally. Data described in this policy may be processed in Japan or other countries where CADXChange or Stripe operate, with appropriate safeguards where required by applicable law.

The Software and Site are intended for professional/business use and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

We may update this policy from time to time; the "Updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
