Organisation Licence (CXL-1.0 Licensed)
Updated October 24, 2026
This licence applies to libraries, circuit sets, kits and sample drawings that are sold with a licence on cadxchange.net (Terms CXL-1.0 Licensed), for example the circuit libraries, single circuits and whole libraries alike. It is part of the CADXChange library terms CXL-1.0 (Licensed). The licence record in the LICENSE.txt of your ZIP names the licence type and number. This page is the Organisation licence.
1. Who holds the licence
The licence belongs to the organisation named in the licence record: one company. How many of its people may use the library is set by the seat band named in the licence record (up to 25, 100, 250 or 1,000 people, or no limit on people); the people counted are the employees of the organisation who actually use the files. A larger number of users needs a larger band; the licence can be upgraded to a larger band at any time by paying the difference. Contractors, freelancers and subcontractors are not covered, even when they work on the organisation's projects: they need a licence of their own. Subsidiaries and other companies are covered only if they are named in the licence record; each further company needs its own licence.
2. What you may do
Use and modify the drawings and tables in the organisation's projects, including commercial ones and drawings delivered to clients.
Pass on finished drawings that contain them.
Keep the library on the organisation's computers, servers and network drives and share it among its employees, up to the number of people in the seat band of the licence record.
Put the drawings in the organisation's templates and company standards.
3. What you may not do
Give copies of the library to anyone outside the organisation, including contractors, freelancers, subcontractors and clients. Clients receive finished drawings only; contractors who want to work from the library need their own licence.
Use the library for other organisations, or for subsidiaries that are not named in the licence.
You may not redistribute the library or a substantial part of it, in original or modified form, sell it, add it to another library or download site, offer it as a template or sample drawing set, or build it into a software product, plug-in or online service that you distribute. If you publish our drawings or screenshots of them (tutorials, articles, videos), credit "CADXChange" and link to cadxchange.net.
4. Examples, not engineering advice
The drawings, symbols, tables and selection guides are drawn by CADXChange; circuits and selection guides are typical examples. They are not copies of any standard, they are not certified, and they are provided as is, without warranty of any kind. They do not replace the design, calculation and approval of a qualified engineer. ISO, IEC and other names belong to their owners; this library is not affiliated with them. Check every drawing and value against the standards, the device manuals and the local regulations of your installation.
5. Duration and updates
The licence is perpetual and no updates are promised. A licence stays under the terms version it was bought with; updates carry their own terms and you may keep using the earlier version. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
