CXLAYSTDLayersVersion 1.0.0Tested in AutoCAD

Create a set of layers from a CSV list

Builds your layer standard from a spreadsheet: name, color and linetype per line. Existing layers are updated to match.

How to use it

  1. Prepare a CSV file with name, color number and linetype per line. A header line is fine.
  2. Type CXLAYSTD and choose the file.
  3. Missing layers are created, existing ones take the color and linetype from the file.

Good to know

  • Linetypes that are not loaded yet are loaded from the standard linetype file. Unknown linetypes fall back to Continuous.

Load it in AutoCAD

  1. Save the file anywhere you like.
  2. Type APPLOAD, pick the file and choose Load.
  3. Type the command name: CXLAYSTD.

To have it at every start, add it to the Startup Suite in the same dialog, or load a whole folder at once with the optional loader. About the optional loader

Tested in AutoCAD (full version). Other programs that run AutoLISP may work, but they are not tested.

The code

Plain text, nothing hidden. Copy it into a file named cxlaystd.lsp, or download it.
