Free AutoCAD spa and wellness blocks (DWG): massage rooms, saunas, steam rooms, hot tubs, pools, relaxation areas

About sizes and clearances

There is no standard for spa plan symbols. The sizes are typical trade sizes: a treatment room of about 3000 x 3600, a walkway of 700 beside a table, 900 in wet areas, 1500 for a wheelchair to turn. They are common practice, not a rule, so check hygiene, accessibility, electrical and water safety, ventilation and the manufacturer's data against your local rules.

These symbols are our own drawings after common planning practice, and the library is not certified against any standard. Check the sizes, clearances and connections against your project and change the blocks if yours differ.

Frequently asked questions

Are these symbols to a standard?

No. Plan symbols for spas have no binding standard. The blocks follow typical trade sizes and planning practice, and the zone markers show typical values, not code requirements. Check local rules, the safety data and the manual of every product you specify.

What are the spa room layouts?

Ready-made rooms as one block each, with walls, door and the equipment in place: massage, couples massage, facial, wet treatment, body wrap and float rooms, a nail bar, sauna and steam suites, a home sauna, an infrared alcove, a thermal suite, a hydrotherapy room, a relaxation room, a changing room, reception and retail, a home spa bathroom and a backyard spa deck. Insert one for a quick layout, or explode it to move single pieces; the same pieces are in the library on their own.

Can I use the symbols in commercial projects?

Yes. They are free to use and modify in your own projects, including commercial ones. They are provided as is, without warranty. Please do not redistribute or resell the library; see the library terms.

Can I use these together with the hotel, gym and pool libraries?

Yes. They use the same units, attributes and insertion rule, so the libraries can be used in one plan. This one adds treatment equipment, tubs, saunas and spa layouts; the hotel library has guest rooms and lobby items, the gym library has training equipment, and the pool library has outdoor pools and garden pieces.

Can I change a symbol or add attributes?

Yes. Open the DWG, edit a block with BEDIT to change it or add attributes, and save. To update drawings that already contain the block, run ATTSYNC or replace the block. Make a backup first: attribute values can be lost if ATTSYNC is used carelessly.

Are the floor, wallpaper and material patterns hatches?

No, they are blocks made of thin lines. Insert one, scale it to the area you want to show and copy it to cover more (ARRAY), or use it as a legend sample next to your finish schedule. For large areas the hatch patterns of your CAD program are the better choice.

Should I download this library or one of the smaller topic libraries (furniture, doors and windows, bathroom and kitchen, stairs, walls and roofs)?

This one has everything in a single file. If you need only one topic, the topic library holds the same blocks in a smaller file, and the furniture library adds front elevations of the furniture.

Where do I find a ready-made set of these symbols for AutoCAD?

AutoCAD itself ships only a small set of sample blocks, so a full symbol set has to come from a library. Download the ZIP on this page and open the DWG: every symbol is a block. Insert one with INSERT (Blocks palette, Libraries tab, then pick the DWG) or drag it from DesignCenter (ADCENTER). You can also download a single symbol on its own.
